My background is in Early Childhood Education. I have been in the field as a teacher first then an administrator for the last 16 years. In 2022, I made an incredibly tough decision to end a very unhealthy relationship I was in for 17 years. I suddenly found myself a single mom of 2 amazing boys, working full time in a field that took a lot of my time in exchange for very little money. Going through my divorce, I was faced with selling our family home. I also had woken up one morning in a panic that I had no back up plan, no retirement and the industry I loved so much was falling apart (thanks to the pandemic). I now had an income gap that I needed to bridge. I looked into going back to school to finish my nursing degree and what that would cost and what the pay off would end up being. I ultimately decided that going back to school wouldn’t get me to where I needed to be without setting me farther behind. I was feeling hopeless, frustrated and lost on what to do next.

One of my dear friends that I had confided in sat me down one day and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. There were options/solutions for me for all of my worries. I was terrified going into the process; my mind was full of misconceptions and defeat. I came out of the other side with so much clarity, a sense of peace, a regained sense of control and a real plan to achieve my short term and long term financial goals.

I came from a family that did not discuss money at all. At no point in school was I taught anything like I learned through this process. I was filling out an excel spreadsheet monthly that I made on my own and thought I was doing everything I could within my means. I was so wrong! In fact, I was so impressed by the process that I almost immediately asked how I could get involved and teach other people what I had learned.

Now, I am able to use my love of educating as well as my life experiences to help families, businesses and individuals find a sense of peace, regain control, and develop a plan that works for them based on their dreams and goals. I especially enjoy working with families with children to change their financial trajectory AND create generational wealth.
